In 2003, the South Asian Students Association (SASA) was formed by a small group of undergraduate students with the intent to create an environment for all South Asian students to feel at home. Since our formation, SASA aims to bring more cultural awareness to Mizzou’s campus so that this institution is a place where all students feel accepted and are represented. We’ve hosted events like Navaratri Garba, Kites on Campus (Kite Day), Diwali, Bollywood Zumba, Trivia, Holi, and more! Our goal for this year is to expand SASA to be inclusive with our representation and host events that have not been done in the past, our hope is to fairly represent all South Asian students as Mizzou becomes a more diverse university.
